Other than your typical search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Dogpile, etc. There are a few other engines that can help you find things. Their search functions in my opinion aren't nearly as useful as traditional search engines. But you can find something interesting ridiculously fast.

People stumble across things on the web all the time. I do and I post things here for you. Other people do and they post them in this social website. Great for finding interesting pictures, videos, and articles.
Digg
When something in the news is controversial, you're bound to find it here really fast! Just checking out the front page of Digg will get you into it.
